In October 1929, the Great Depression started. The depression affected many countries throughout the world. It was at that time, that US President Roosevelt issued "New Deal" policy as a way to overcome the Depression. [STG017] became the watch that used that historical event image in its design, portraying the hope for the better future.

The dial design was made in a vintage style as well to match the preferences of the watch lovers.
