The Lov-in Bouquet Kyoto Tango Jacquard Watch is a wristwatch that utilizes the traditional craft of Tango chirimen, a Kyoto-Tango heritage craft that has been passed down for approximately 300 years, as its band. In today's modern era, we have numerous ways to keep track of time, but with this project, our objective is not only to offer a timekeeping tool but also to provide a wristwatch that can symbolize the passage of time for individuals who appreciate traditional Japanese beauty and values.

"Tango Chirimen" is a general term for textiles woven in this region. The technique of Tango chirimen, which has been woven for over 300 years since the Edo period, has been used to create Japan's finest kimonos. Among them, the Jacquard weave, which requires meticulous attention to materials, design, and craftsmanship, is used for watch bands.

The weaving of the silk material used this time is a high-end fabric used in the kimono's "Sara". Due to the complicated and delicate structure where the warp yarns intersect, machine weaving is very difficult.

The soft luster and texture of the Tango jacquard fabric reflect "human sensibility and the change produced by hand" on hand looms.

While reusing a hand loom that was discarded about 40 years ago, we have created an original hand loom by modifying its width, length, and height and attaching a part of the machine loom. Instead of reverting to traditional hand weaving, we have embraced a hybrid approach, combining the best aspects of hand weaving and machine technology. This new handloom represents our commitment to preserving the rich texture of handwork for generations to come.
